Train from Bari Port to Alberobello?

Is there a train from the port (or close) to Alberobello? If so does it run by Polignano A Mare as well? I really want to see both places and trying to figure out the best way to go about this on our own.

Also, are there car rental agencies at or near the port? I would like to know if this could be another option.

What is the closest car rental agency to the Bari port? I have tried to research this, not having much luck. :confused:

Looking at the map, it seems that Sixt and Maggiore are the closest to the port at just under a mile:

 

Sixt: Vicolo Sant'Agostino, 5

 

Maggiore: Via Napoli 159 /C
