CowPrincess Posted March 31, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2014 Is the HSC $12/person/day for Vista suites? Or is it $11.50? (I am obviously still confused about what makes those cabins "suites" :D ) Thanks in advance!

(I am obviously still confused about what makes those cabins "suites" :D ) Thanks in advance! Agree. But let's not complain. They bring us double Mariner points. For that matter, my definition of a suite is more than one room (not including the bathroom or dressing room). Given that, even the Neptune suites are not suites. freedom50 Posted April 1, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 1, 2014 We will be on the Maasdam in a Vista Suite. We are new to Holland America and so don't quite understand the reference to double points. Could some one explain about how these points work and accumulate?

Could some one explain about how these points work and accumulate? When you first sail on Holland America, you are admitted to membership in the Mariners' Society. That, based on the number of sailing days you have credited, eventually adds up to some perqs. :D You get one day credited for every day you sail. If you book certain higher category cabins at a published rate, you get credited two sailing days for every day sailed. Those cabins are the Pinnacle Suites, Neptune Suites, and the Superior Suites. On the S- and R-class ships, the categories are different. You also get one day credit, up to the total length of the cruise, for every $300 spent on that booking. The credits can add up fast!
