Frank12 Posted April 7, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Shorts and T-shirts are OK, but they will turn you away if your shirt does not have sleeves. ( I found out the hard way! :()

JLee1973 Posted April 7, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 7, 2014 You can wear shirts to the MDR for dinner and they won't say anything. Others on here may condemn you for running theory cruise though. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

BallFour4 Posted April 7, 2014 #14 Share Posted April 7, 2014 (edited) just wondering if men can wear shorts to sea day brunch or do I need long pants? Thanks You can wear shorts round the clock in Carnival except for Cruise Elegant evening dinner and then long pants are the suggested dress for dinner. . mickiemac Posted April 7, 2014 #15 Share Posted April 7, 2014 The Hey Pork Chop on the sea day brunch is amazing.
WindsorFred Posted April 7, 2014 #16 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Exactly this! No "gym" shorts though. Friend we cruise with was turned away because he had gym shorts on our last cruise, had to return to their cabin and change.
awhcruiser Posted April 7, 2014 #17 Share Posted April 7, 2014 As long as they are "dressy". You can wear shorts to the MDR for dinner and they won't say anything. runner15km Posted April 7, 2014 #18 Share Posted April 7, 2014 On my last cruise there was a gorilla who sat at the table next to me and on at least two nights he wore shorts and sleeveless shirts. I just care not to see armpit hair in the MDR. trvlqueen Posted April 7, 2014 #19 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Shorts are fine. No swim shorts and no shirts without sleeves (tanktops). This wasn't enforced at all. In fact, many people came in from the Lido deck having just thrown on their cover-up. While I wouldn't recommend this or do it myself, the table next to us was 4 women, all in swimsuits with coverups on, and they were served (around 11:30am) with no issues. The table across from us was 2 guys in swim trunks and flip flops with t-shirts on and their female friends in swim suits with sundresses over the top - all carrying their towels and beach bags (so at least they weren't chogging, too, lol). That said, I think the policy may vary from ship to ship, but shorts definitely aren't an issue.
