Mexican Riviera Christmas cruise - lots of kids?

We have just booked a Mexican Riviera NCL Star cruise out of Long Beach, CA that will be during Christmas. I'm wondering if there are more / less children than normal because of the Holiday. Has anyone taken this cruise at that time? Would really appreciate any input. When I asked our NCL person, she said that there tends to be more children on the ships with the big slides and Nickeloden. Thanks!

Hi! We went the week over New Years. It was busy with lots of kids but I wouldn't say it was overcrowded. Had a good time and enjoyed it. Our kids are 7 and 8, boy and girl said they had a great time. Kids camp was good and activities and shows were fun. FYI. The pool water is cold - it's ocean water. If you have any specific questions feel free to email me at wendyjwolf@yahoo.com. :)
