c breeze Posted April 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2014 Are the Breakaway Waterfront restaurants open on sea days, port days or both?
Ken Greco Posted April 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2014 We have been on 13 RCCL and Carnival cruises. We are thinking of the NCL Getaway in January 2015. How about a quick review and more details on the Waterfront dining areas.
Fivehole Posted April 10, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2014 Just off Breakaway a few days ago. Waterfront restaurants were open beginning with Port Canaveral port day (as first sea day from NY was too chilly, I would imagine). We dined outdoors at Moderno in Port Canaveral. Waterfront was open in GSC and Nassau, as well as first sea day north on the return. All dining was open and we also enjoyed Fat Cats outside area on first sea night back from Bahamas. Can't say enough good about Waterfront - it really is wonderful. Gelato and Ocean Blue walk-up had limited hours, but we were able to enjoy a lobster roll on the first sea day north al fresco! rtcuse Posted April 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2014 Are the Breakaway Waterfront restaurants open on sea days, port days or both? The restaurants themselves have indoor/outdoor seating so they are open every day. We've been on the Breakaway twice and have always sat indoors in these restaurants because it was either too warm or too cold. One of these days we'll make it to the outside seating area for dinner. The Waterfront is our favorite part of the ship because it is a more relaxing environment.
Tyskie Posted April 10, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 10, 2014 We were on the BA in December. We returned around 2:30 from our walking jaunt around Nassau. We thought what a great day to spend on the Waterfront having a lobster roll. Well, the Waterfront did not open until 5pm. :( Possibly they have changed the times since December or everyone is talking about later in the day. Never did get that lobster roll! The Waterfront is the nicest part of any ship, on any cruise line i've ever sailed.
