Booking next cruise while onboard

If I book my next Carnival cruise while onboard, what kind of benefit do I get?

I searched the Carnival site and FAQs and got hundreds (not an exaggeration) of nonresponsive categories.

I would not book Easy Saver or Early Saver - just a regular booking of the cheapest interior cabins. I'm trying to decide if it is worth it to tie up my money (three cabins).

Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I went to a cruise presentation onboard the Dream in Dec. and I think normally the only benefit to booking on the ship is onboard credit, which can be acquired through various promotions as well. Sometimes, a few cruises that are not selling well are on special, but those are normally within a few months of the current sailing. HTH!

Just an FYI. If you only cruise once a year like we do - so you're booking a year out you stand a good chance of itinerary changes. If you book for the ship no problem, but if you book for itinerary this is a risk. We booked in Feb. at the end of our first leg of our b2b. A mere 8 days later the itinerary changed completely from what we wanted.

OBC for booking next cruise while onboard current cruise -

I think it's $75 for 6-day (or less?), $100 For 7+ days, and $200 for 12-day or longer.

I'm sure about the $75 for 6 day & $100 for 7 day, but I'm not positive if the $200 is for 12 or 14+ days.

Thanks for this and all the other responses. I do know that for our 14-day upcoming Pride cruise, I got $200, but I could not find out what is available for shorter cruises.

Happy sails.:)
