CruiseFan3035 Posted April 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2014 We rented our Cabana. We paid for 5 of us as that was the maximum person capacity. Wondering How do they know who belongs to what cabana and how many people there are? Thanks! Me
ExCCL Posted April 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Carnival has the reservation list from when you selected your cabana number/location, but they do not monitor the number of guests. They recommend 5 guests based on the size of the cabana and amenities provided, but you could have 20 guests and Carnival would not care. There are no wristbands or secret passwords. 092306 Posted April 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2014 You select your specific cabana number once you are on board the ship by going to the shore excursion desk. They will have your name per the reservation and will then add the cabana # that you choose. They will either ask you then for snorkel fin sizes and beverage preferences or tell you that you will receive a form in your cabin to fill out and return to them. PA Dutchman Posted April 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2014 They also wanted the names and cabin number of my other guests. Nobody was using snorkel fins or any other things. Get to the desk ASAP or you will be left with one way out. They are great
0hlovely Posted April 11, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 11, 2014 IMO the ones way out were awesome!! We had number 10 and it was the best choice ever! We only paid for 4 adults when we had 2 kids also. Paumavista Posted April 11, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Carnival doesn't check who is sleeping in which bed/cabin......or who is visiting your cabana............;)

nybumpkin Posted April 11, 2014 #9 Share Posted April 11, 2014 We've had #5, #9, and #11. We definitely prefer the cabanas farther down the beach; when we had #5 the beach was much more crowded and we had people coming up to our cabana to use the shower. And that was before the "Captain on the Rocks" bar opened next door. The only down side (IMHO) with being farther down is that the snorkeling isn't good. The snorkeling is much better by the grand cabana, which is closer to the entrance.
bmw mama Posted June 7, 2014 #10 Share Posted June 7, 2014 Just wondering if any sickness on your cruise??? We heard the noro virus was active.
quietmn12 Posted June 7, 2014 #11 Share Posted June 7, 2014 A couple of cruises ago, we split the cost of the cabana between 3 other couples that we met on the roll call. One couple paid for the cabana and we paid our part of it once we got on board. Its a great place to leave your stuff and to use as a base while on the island. As someone said, Carnival doesn't care who uses it, as long as they get paid.

Me they dont monitor... we had a crew of about 12 that we "shared" with.. some of our friends also rented clamshells and we had a bunch of chairs out in front too where we all hung out between the cabana itself and on the beach.. it was awesome!! best money you will ever spend while on a cruise stopping there! i wanna go back!!! ibcnusoon Posted June 8, 2014 #16 Share Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) What does a cabana cost? We are going to HMC but nothing is listed for that port yet. Is it per person or per cabana? Regular cabana: http://www.carnival.com/Activities/Excursion/420026 It's $229 for the entire cabana all day. Price listed is per cabana, (not per person) and good for up to 4 persons, therefore only one person needs to book. For groups with more than 4 guests, an 'extra person surcharge' for the Cabana rental must be purchased for guests 5 & 6 (a maximum of 6 guests per cabana). ___ They also have Beach Villas: http://www.carnival.com/Activities/Excursion/420042 Those are larger and are $499 a day. Price listed is per villa, (not per person) and good for up to 8 persons, therefore only one person needs to book. For groups with more than 8 guests, an 'extra $49.99 per person surcharge' for the Private Villas at Half Moon Cay must be purchased once onboard, for each additional person from 9-18 guests. 18 absolute maximum allowable. ___ The ultimate in "luxury" is the Private Oasis: http://www.carnival.com/Activities/Excursion/420029 At a mere $1,495.99 a day. The base rate shown is not "Per Person" as listed, but applicable for up to 12 guests. Only one guest need purchase the reservation for the (up to) 12 guests. For groups with more than 12 guests, an 'extra $99.99 per person surcharge' for the Private Oasis at Half Moon Cay must be purchased once onboard, for each additional person from 13-24 guests.
