Vacacrazy325 Posted April 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2014 I am arranging a cruise for my husband, myself, and two other couples on NCL. We have chosen the cruise and the ship but how do I get the best deals for the this cruise. We have cruised before but I am not sure we got the best deal. Thanks! don't-use-real-name Posted April 12, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2014 So you have chosen the NCL ship (Please tell us which one it is) and the dates of the cruise. It can figured from there where you are cruising to. Have you settled on a Inside Cabin - Ocean View - Balcony - or a Suite ? Are you trying to do this on the least expensive side ? If you deal directly with NCL you will always get the lowest price up to the time of your final cruise payment (90 days before cruise). If the price changes in that period prior to the final payment just call and ask for the adjustment. If you deal with a Travel Agent they will charge you the same price as NCL plus any agency fee service - but you will have another set of eyes watching the cruise fare go up or down. The more expensive the cabin the less of a chance of the fare going down before sailing. If the fares go down in the pre-cruise 90 day period you can still call for an adjustment. Perhaps you might get it or maybe some consolation OBC (On Board Credit). A travel agent is usually helpful here. NCL will generally have less expensive fares than other cruise lines cruising from the same port with the same itinerary. Certain seasonal times of the year the fares are higher. For HELP look no further than the very top of each Cruise Critic page. The Banner Bar with: REVIEWS - FIND A CRUISE - DEALS - DESTINATIONS - HOW TO CRUISE - NEWS Pay special attention to "DEALS" ! Rare flarad Posted April 13, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2014 There is a web site that let's travel agents compete for your cruise. You list what you want and get bids from different agents. We've used this website for our last five cruises. Just google cruise compete. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
MyNameIsJack Posted April 13, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 13, 2014 Get yourself a personal cruise consultant (PCC) they are the absolute best way to get immediate word on sales, discounts, etc. Find a good one and you will end up with a fantastic deal. Ours saved us about 48% off of our cruise. For some reason we are not allowed to give out the contact data for PCCs here (I have no idea what people are afraid of but that is just the way it is). If you go to the NCL facebook page you can easily find a PCC if you ask for one.
