Confirmed table for two!

Sailing on Carnival Splendor on the 18th and emailed the dining room maitred this morning at 9:10 am requesting a table for two. Got a response back confirming at 9:44am! We are doing late dining.

I've had this happen before, some of the Maitre 'd are very good about responding to emails...others not so much. Ken is the best, we exchanged so many emails prior to our cruise that we were like old friends the first night at dinner....lol

I found the e-mail address for the maitre'd on this board - I sent an e-mail yesterday at 8:14 am and received a response at 12:30 pm indicating they would take care of my request - excellent service!

I don't know Splendor layout, but a table for 2 is not like winning the lottery. People visualize it being alone and away from other tables. On different cruises, my table for 2 was one in a whole line and practically rubbed elbows to the left and right.

Several times now we've had a table for two without even asking for it.

And yes, ours was at the end of a long line of tables-for-two

with others close enough....and it's boring. :cool:

 

 

Frankly I wouldn't waste my time (or bandwidth)

or more importantly the Maitre D's time with such a silly request.

 

I get a table. I eat the food. I get full. I leave the MDR. I'm happy.

I'm such a simple uncomplicated creature. :)
