Leaving Charlottetown and heading north to Quebec City, you will pass beneath the 8 mile-long Confederation Bridge, probably around dinner-time, which for us 3 years ago was around 7PM.

Seeing so much concrete in one location is daunting.....certainly not in the same category as one sails beneath the Golden Gate Bridge.

From port side the following day, you will barely be able to see land along the Gaspe Peninsula, although by this time you have entered into the St. Lawrence River, as it narrows, the ship now travelling south-west towards Quebec City.

You should eventually be seeing glimpses of land from port, the hills of Gaspe still covered in snow, at least until the end of May....along with numerous ugly windmills erected in the past few years.

On your last morning aboard,as you get closer to Quebec City, ensure that you are on starboard deck to get a splendid view of superb farms, well-manicured properties and some delightful rural architecture as you pass by the Isle d'Orleans...the Island of Orleans.
