Mr. Click Posted October 31, 2016 #151 Share Posted October 31, 2016 We used Rome Cabs when we ended out Amsterdam to Rome cruise on the Silhouette in September. We had a later flight to Barcelona, our friends had a flight the next morning. We had all seen Rome in recent years. Presented with those facts Rome Cabs put together a great little half day tour for us through Ceri, Ceveteri Lake and Bracciano. We arrived to rain and Savino our driver met us with umbrellas and a smile. It was a great morning seeing new and different places including a bit of cake and coffee by the lake while we waited for the castle to open. It ended with us being dropped at the airport and our friends being dropped at their hotel in Fumancino. The original poster asked about credit cards for payment or to secure your reservation, nope, just bring Euros to pay your driver and the end of the trip. We had used them a few years ago for transport from Rome to the port and the port to airport too. Great company all around. They will go the extra mile to make things work for you. mydreamvacation Posted November 1, 2016 #152 Share Posted November 1, 2016 Over the past decade Stefano has become like family to us, not only does he run the best tour company in Italy in my opinion but he is just such a warm, caring person it is unfathomable to me to even consider booking with someone else. It was our 25th anniversary and Stefano said he had something special planned for us but wouldn't let on to me what it was. He picked us up at our hotel and we headed out from Rome. A little under an hour we arrived in the beautiful village of Bracciano which is named after the lake it boarders. There is a castle in the village that we visited and he told me all of the stories about the past inhabitants, even Tom Cruise was married here(although that didn't work out so well lol) after that we visited two more villages, Anguillara and Trevignano. Trevignano was my favorite with the medieval borgo but Anguillara was beautiful as well and the houses built into the mountain reminded me of Cinque Terre or Sorrento. If you were an Everybody Loves Raymond fan you would recognize the village as this is where they filmed a lot i of the episodes when the family went to Italy. It was such a magical day, even though I have been to Italy more times than I can count I had never heard of this area. This is a brand new tour meant to be done on the way to or from the port, great for early arrivals to kill time, but, I would highly recommend it for peop,e like myself that were in Rome before a tour or even just vacationing. It was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Rome. Really a perfect day- here is a link to the tour. You just can't go wrong with Stefano whether it be with tours or transfers he has no equal! Marion B Posted November 1, 2016 #153 Share Posted November 1, 2016 In reading Mr. Click and mydremvacation's posts, I want to expand on my wonderful experience: We're jet-lagged, cranky and hungry when we arrive to bedlam at FCO. We're dragging luggage and carry-ons. There are dozens of drivers waiting to greet their passengers. Our is in front with a sign bearing our name. He has a luggage dolly and relieves us of every piece. We enter a late model, comfortable and clean car. Our driver asks if the temperature is to our liking. What about the radio? Is it our preferred type of music? Too loud or too soft? He offers us some chocolates. We sit back and relax. We're given a commentary on the passing sites, as well as helpful information for out stay. When we arrive at our hotel, it is pouring. Our driver urges us to remain in the car. He runs into the hotel and returns with a huge umbrella, escorting me and then my husband into the lobby. Rome Cabs? It doesn't get any better than this. desertr0se Posted November 11, 2016 #155 Share Posted November 11, 2016 We went to Rome prior to our cruise last month. We booked our transfers with RomeCabs.com. They met us at the airport and delivered us to our hotel. Then, 3 days later, they picked us up at the hotel and delivered us to the port. They are on time, very professional, very friendly and the ride is a tour as they point out various landmarks you may want to visit. The cabs are very nice and clean! We would not hesitate to use them again. Loved every minute! Five stars!
Cop Chef Posted December 18, 2016 #156 Share Posted December 18, 2016 This will be our first time in Italy and we will be staying in a hotel in Rome for a few days prior to our sailing on the Celebrity Silhouette for a TA. I want to book with Romecabs (Stefano’s) to Civitavecchia Port. My question is, does the Romecabs take you directly to the cruise ship or do they drop you off at the port entrance. Thanks in advance. DameAtSeaII Posted December 18, 2016 #157 Share Posted December 18, 2016 (edited) Cop Chef, Stefano's Romecabs takes you right to the entrance of port building where you check in and board. It is definitely "door to door" service. :) Enjoy your TA and your experience on Celebrity and the worry-free drive from Rome to Civitavecchia! I can't speak for other companies buy Stefano's Rome Cabs always has brought me directly to the vessel no matter what cruise line I was sailing on. They bring you right up ship side where the porters are and assist you with giving the bags to the porters. Everything is very smooth and seamless. There is no better company in Italy in my opinion. Cop Chef Posted December 19, 2016 #159 Share Posted December 19, 2016 Thanks DameAtSeaII and Mydreamvacation for this information. This definitely will ease our mind, we thought we would be dropped off at the Port Entrance and would have to get a shuttle from there to the ship. Egret32 Posted December 19, 2016 #160 Share Posted December 19, 2016 We love Rome Cabs. For the last trip, we were picked up early in the morning at our hotel near the airport. We spent the morning on one of their special pre-cruise tours ending in an incredible lunch. Then we arrived at the ship about 3 PM, in plenty of time for our sailing. Highly recommend the trip which includes Lake Brianciano and a Castle.
Minoushka Posted December 22, 2016 #161 Share Posted December 22, 2016 We had great drivers in Naples, Rome and Florence ...efficient, courteous , professional .I can only say great things about Stefano and his team . The ladies who came with us to Florence got lost it got very late ....our driver went searching everywhere to find them and managedto get us back to Livorno on time or we would have missed the ship .He was amazing .....Im sure he broke a few records getting us back on time Hats off to these guys Michele

Beccag873 Posted July 10, 2017 #163 Share Posted July 10, 2017 Just returned from our NCL Epic Western Med cruise and booked RomeCabs for two transfers. The first was to pick us up at the hotel to bring us to the ship. Andrea came (15 minutes early no less) and before I knew it, our luggage was in his van and we were on our way! It was an over an hour from Rome to Civi. Because I prepaid before we left using PayPal, I was concerned there would be some issue.... nope! Smoothless as could be! I had also booked a pick up from the ship at 0800, and sure enough, there was Andrea... right on time, right outside the ship! I noticed some passengers having to lug their luggage for quite a distance, but RomeCabs has pier access and they were right there! I highly recommend RomeCabs and rest assured, you will get to where you need to be, quickly & without hassle!

thefleets Posted July 22, 2017 #171 Share Posted July 22, 2017 On our recent cruise, we booked Rome Cabs for airport pickup with the VIP 2-hour mini tour. Since our flight arrived at 8:00am from the U.S., we knew we would not be able to check in to our hotel right away so this option was perfect. We found our driver easily and he escorted us directly to the vehicle without us having to think of a thing. As tired as we were, it was nice to relax in the car and hear about several sights as we drove past. We chose to stop at the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps for a short time, then had some gelato before going to the hotel. We also used Rome Cabs again for our R/T transfer to the Port. We were a family of four with lots of luggage, so the ease of getting around with expert help was well worth the cost. Speaking of cost, I compared prices for 4 people with several companies and found Rome Cabs to be competitive and not over-priced. I highly recommend them. lisagen Posted October 12, 2017 #172 Share Posted October 12, 2017 Folks, Beinga the worry wart I am, I thought I would ask the following question. We are on the 4/26 TA on Reflection. We made a reservation with Rome Cabs from the port to our hotel in Rome. We clicked on the confirmation link. We have all the information and confirmation number. Still worry. Why? I don't know how to confirm the reservation. It says once you have clicked the link you don't need to, but....... So I am asking if anyone else has used them from the port to Rome (hotel or airport), and if you confirmed the reservation. If so, how? Did you call? I just want to feel more comfortable that my wife and I won't be left at the pier with no ride. Thanks in advance, Sid1962 We took Rome cabs on Oct 9 th from Reflexion cruise. I had the same worry , did they really get my confirmation email . They had , but I sent a confirmation message the day before from Naples to confirm . They are very reliable, ride did not take a hour, the driver was there on time , with my name on a card . but email them if you want to be reassured
