PinotBlanc Posted April 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2014 We want to book two cruises back to back for the Med later in 2014. Is it possible to take a short cruise from Fla now, and pay two future cruise credits (FCC) to use for two back to back cruises with OBC for late summer or fall 2014 back to backs? Thank you. Pam in CA Posted April 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2014 We want to book two cruises back to back for the Med later in 2014.Is it possible to take a short cruise from Fla now, and pay two future cruise credits (FCC) to use for two back to back cruises with OBC for late summer or fall 2014 back to backs? You can either book the cruises while on the ship with a $100 deposit each, or purchase FCCs to book and make a deposit after your short cruise. I'd suggest getting extra FCCs so you can act when you see a cruise you think you'd like to take. Living in FL, you have another option if you live near the port. There are "Bon Voyage Experience" dates out of FLL but you'd have to call Princess to find out which dates and ships. You pay $39/pp and get to board the ship for about three hours, have a nice lunch with wine, a professional photograph, and best of all, your $39 can be applied as a credit towards a new booking to lower the cost. While onboard for the BVE, you can fill out the forms for FCCs and drop them off. (Take a photo to verify you did.) That way, you get all of your BVE money back, get your FCCs and spend some time on a ship. The bummer is that you have to disembark before Muster. Colo Cruiser Posted April 17, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2014 I'd rather do the short cruise then a BVE. ;)
paul929207 Posted April 17, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2014 As long as you buy the FCCs on the short cruise before you book the b2b, you will be OKay. You will have to book the b2b as two cruises. Sometimes the 2 cruises will be offered as one longer cruise or the two short ones. Check to see which way works best for you. PinotBlanc Posted April 17, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted April 17, 2014 (edited) We visit Florida beaches often using timeshare getaways and have a few scheduled in the near future. And we visit relatives in the Disney area. I'm sure we can squeeze in a BVE and a short cruise for the fun of it and to purchase future cruise credits for a pricey back to back. Is the BVE available only to Florida residents? Thank you for the good news. Penny Edited April 17, 2014 by PinotBlanc
