Halloween Cruise!

Recommended Posts

DH and I experienced our First Halloween Cruise last October and we had a blast.

The crew decorated the ship, they had trick or treating for the kids. They we're given a list of where to go for trick or treating. That lasted an hour or two. Then there was a costume contest in one of the bars.

Then they all came up to the Lido deck where the party continued.

Alot of people dressed up, some simple and some very elaborate costumes. Sorry no pic's.

They say no mask's but some people wore them. Also no prop swords or guns etc.

Would definitely do a Halloween cruise again. We had fun decorating our cabin door as well.

On Legend this past Halloween, different areas were decorated, desserts in MDR were decorated, they held a costume contest and best door decoration contest. People put out candy, usually in bags on the cabin door or mailbox.

The staff chose 20 costumes to be in the contest of all those cruisers wearing one. Each went on stage--sometimes a couple, ie Raggedy Ann and Andy--or group--about 8 zombies in a wedding party.

The winner was a guy calling himself Mitzy who wore a bikini top, long skirt, flower in his hair and makeup. The zombies, who took 3 hours to put on their makeup were madder than heck!!

Some of the doors were fabulous! A CC'er won that category!

Too funny! Door contest... so should we bring craft supplies?

We did a Halloween cruise last year and had a lot of fun. Halloween fell on the last sea day, but the ship was decorated from embarkation. There were plenty of Halloween themed professional photo ops throughout the cruise, a costume contest, kids scavenger hunt/party and a special dessert that night in the MDR.

Since you'll be boarding that day, I say wear a costume but no mask, hat or makeup to board because of the SS cards photo, but it should make for interesting embarkment photos! Or put your costume in your carry on and change once you get to your cabin.
