Ft. Lauderdale, port to airport distance

People are always asking about the distance between port and airport at Ft. Lauderdale, so here's a quick shot I took of Oasis of the Seas from my plane last weekend, while taxiing toward the east end of runway.

So given the size of Oasis of the Seas, I'd guess about 200 miles?

Yep many a sad evening when I have watched sailaway from the airport as I waited for a flight. I hate thinking about somebody in MY cabin and sitting at MY table laughing with MY waiters. Close enough to rub it in from the airport window.:D

It's less than two miles as the crow flies from the runway to the cruise ships.
