The El Mojito Bar on Deck 5 aft makes the best Martini's.

What makes the "best bar". Location, music, decor or bartender ? Most likely the bartender and the issue is that bartenders work a on a rotational location schedule.

Bartender earnings are based on that 0.15 % gratuity and to keep all bartenders happy they work at the highest to lowest revenue bars throughout the ship.

The bartender makes the difference. And they do move around.

 

They work for 15% not 0.15% a big difference.

 

Our understanding is that the bartender tips are pooled eliminating the 'punishment' of working a slower bar.

When I was on the Victory six months ago the bartender at the Martini and Wine bar told me that it was the only bar he worked. So I guess there are exceptions unless he was not telling the truth, but he was there everyday of our cruise and was very very good.

I guess you just never know, I asked a few times and was told their assignment can change from time to time. The important thing is to fine the right bartender.:) Just does not seem fair to put a bartender in the lowest revenue generating bar cruise after cruise.
