Rostock and Schwerin

Hello

 

We will be in Rostock on Sat June 7

 

From what I can see the ship (Ncl Star) actually ports in Rostock

 

We want to do the port on our own by train

 

How far is the train station from the port? Is any transportation required to exit port or is it provided

 

Where can I find the current train schedules?

I know you'll find lots of helpful info on the recommended Thread, but I wanted to chime in and say you will love Schwerin! We went last year and we had such a fun day there. We were in port at Warnemunde, took the train to Schwerin and then spent a little time in Rostock before heading back. For us, it was easy by train.

I recommend ordering brochures and info from the German ministry of tourism. It really helped me plan in advance. Can't find my link now, but I found it online.
