Podie Posted May 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2014 Just booked Brilliance out of Tampa on Nov. 22. Would this 5 day cruise have a formal night?
marci22 Posted May 2, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2014 Night 2 should be the formal night.
cruisingsince94 Posted May 2, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2014 Marci22 is correct. There is indeed a formal night and it will be on the 2nd night.
Podie Posted May 4, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted May 4, 2014 Just how formal does it get? I was recently on a Celebrity cruise to the Caribbean and saw very few dressed up people on formal night - more like capris and sandals.

For the most part I've not seen most people dress really "formal" on the shorter cruises...maybe nice slacks & dressy top for ladies...suit or shirt & tie for the guys....a few tux's (maybe)...cocktail dresses... I just got off a 5 night on Liberty. I would say the guys were pretty split between formal and smart casual. Ladies, more formal but a good number wore smart casual too. I was glad because I had originally planned to skip formal night. I went to the MDR in dress pants and a blouse and saw lots of women dressed like me.
