specialty dining question

Recommended Posts

Anticipating my third cruise onboard the allure in 2 weeks and need some help with planning out a budget. Since I was younger and therefore specialty dining (or tipping at all for that matter) wasn't a concern to me in the past, I have a few questions on what to do now. When attending specialty venues like Izumi or 150 Central Park, is tipping expected by the wait staff? Or is that included in you auto gratuities? If you do tip, what is appropriate, does the 15%-25% rule still apply at sea? Also, where does one book RCI dining packages, as I can not find it on my pre cruise planner.

The amount you pay to dine there is "suppose" to take care of the tipping. We always tip additional (usually $10 p/p) because we feel our service was overall excellent and they deserved it, but its not expected by the staff.
