Shipbound Posted May 19, 2014 #26 Share Posted May 19, 2014 (edited) I guess guitarists are an improvement! Thank you DKLI. I'm booked on Freedom, so I was glad to hear that Freedom has at least some live music on Lido. I agree with you. The DJ/music isn't very enjoyable. I was on the Liberty 4/5/14 the music the DJ played was pretty good. It was better than what the guitarists played IMO. There is Varity of music DJ's on any cruise ship can play that is really good but the DJ has to be willing play it. spikester Posted May 19, 2014 #27 Share Posted May 19, 2014 I was on the Breeze the first week of May, and there were live soloists in the Red Frog pub and on lido. They also had a duo perform in the atrium, a band in the ocean plaza and the piano bar. There were 3 guitarists who alternated around. There was 2 guitarists on the Dream in Feb, plus 2 duos and a band. On the Ecstasy in Dec there was at least 1 guitarist who played on lido and in the atrium. Pete C Posted May 19, 2014 #29 Share Posted May 19, 2014 (edited) I just got off the May 9th Liberty sailing, and yes, there was quite a bit of live music on Lido. Around 3:30 or 4 each day they would switch from DJ music to live. There were 2 different solo guitarists, and they played right next to the Red Frog Rum Bar. Another thing, the DJ music has been turned way down. Personally, I think it could be a bit louder, but I think they've chosen a volume that will not offend anyone while still feeling like a party. You can easily carry on a conversation while sitting in the pool area now. Edited May 19, 2014 by Pete C

Hi jamon, we didn't spend time in the dance lounges as we were carting around our toddler the whole time. However, yes to the tablecloths in the MDR.
