local food near the cruise ship dock

Can anyone recommend a decent casual restaurant near the cruise ship dock, preferably within walking distance for good local food.

You can walk to the Fish Fry just past Junkanoo beach in about 20-30 minutes, that is where I always go when in Nassau.

Another vote for Fish Fry! It's an inexpensive taxi ride if you decide you don't want to walk.

Fish Fry is great, we took a jitney there, forget the number of it. I f you walk to Senor frogs turn left and follow it around to the main street that jitney willl take you there. We walked back and the walk was nice. Stopped along the way on the beach and a tiki bar. Well worth the time

Just to throw another option into the mix, I had a great meal at Conch Fritters Bar & Grill, which was on Marlborough... real close, easy walk from the pier. Wandered by, it had sort of bar-like seating outside which seemed perfect. Incredibly nice server, fantastic food... couldn't have asked for better! Did I mention inexpensive?
