MSH from Norway Posted May 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2014 Anyone every fly with them from the US to Copenhagen? Yes :D Several times. Mainly from Copenhagen/Oslo to Fort Lauderdale...... They use the Dreamliner airplanes. Easy and very, very cheap..... :D They are perfect if you want very new planes and very god safety, and don't want to spend money on first class tickets. You can think of them more like a brand new bus. It takes you from a to b. It don't cost much. You get the info you need. You are not there to become friends with who ever works there. But, you don't get the same service as AA, Delta or KLM. No free stuff, no free drinks and the food is like something from Subways. The chairs are very good, but only if you are under 200kg/375 pound........ Norwegian have also several great routes whitin Europe. Anything else you want to know about them? Wow, what great info! Yes, I'd like to know, which I couldn't find anywhere on their website.....do that have trip or air insurance should we need to cancel. I usually fly USAirways and I know they do. I also noticed that they charge for baggage with a limit of 44 lbs, they charge if you want a meal, and they charge if you want to reserve a particular seat. The cost for these three are $89.00 per person each way. Do you think it's worth it? Oh, and we're looking into Fort Lauderdale to Copenhagen Thanks! Harriet Off course, they do have cancellation proctection. http://www.norwegian.com/us/Nyttig-pa-reisen/Reisetjenester/Avbestillingsbeskyttelse/ If you are travelling alone, don't buy the package. If there are two of you? Well, mayby, but mostly not. If you are a big family, and want chrildrens food, then take it. If you are travelling with only cary on suitcase then don't take the package. I was on the Epic TA in april. Took the plane from Oslo to Fort Lauderdale. Travelled alone. Had lunsj in Oslo. Took with me to bottles of cola, some coockies, some snacks, and some other take away food in to the plane. Yes, you can take with you some food in to the plane. Paid for two suitcases and only that, and that was perfect for me. Got a middle seat I didn't like. Asked to be moved, and got an aisle seat after secounds. You can take with you one carry on and one handbag/laptopbag for free.
garycarla Posted May 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 13, 2014 Do not confuse NORWEGIAN AIR with the air that the NCL books for you that could be on one of many airlines. Terms are similar, but not the same thing.

I may have to go elsewhere in case 'something' comes up and we just can't fly. There will be 2 adults traveling from Fort Lauderdale to Copenhagen with 1 checked bag each. Of course, we'd both like to sit together. I can't thank you enough for any and all info on this airline as it's new to me. Now, any suggestions for reasonable hotels. I'm not one to take public trans or buses. I'm starting to look into reasonable hotels that provides transportation from the airport to the hotel....and then transportation from the hotel to the cruise terminal. Nothing fancy, just something clean with it's own private bathroom! LOL Norwegian gets me in on Friday and the cruise does not leave until Monday so that gives us some time to explore and see Copenhagen. Thanks! Norwegian cruise line books air but you never know how many connections, what time, which airline, etc. etc. etc until, I think, 30 days prior. I'm not that brave! I like to know everything 'yesterday' yet alone 30 days. Harriet
