And they really bizarre part is this . The cost of the Up charge for a better brand is More than the bottle goes for in the gift shop. ( Gift shop Bottle $30 / up charge $40. ) You would think at the very least they could charge retail for whats is supposed to be a perk.. :rolleyes:

Really??? wow! Will see what happens when I call. This is a family reunion trip, so we have 6 staterooms booked - maybe that will account for something (I hope). If not, the bottle is still less than the cost per drink at the bars.

After talking with my TA was advised if my toast of the ship was not listed

to just ask if and see if it was available. My preference is Yukon Jack for

sipping on the rocks or Woodford Reserve as an alternative.

You can also purchase bottles during your cruise if you wish - no need to pre-purchase unless you want to.

Well, I was expecting the worst -- but after I requested a bottle of Tanqueray and Dewars to replace the Beefeater gin and Grant's scotch, here's the response I got....

 

Thank you very much for the your time detailing each individual haven suite selections.

 

I would like to advise you for your inquiry up grade two of your complimentary liquor Dewars Scotch, Tanqueray Gin, will not be any up charge. Please let me know which Dewars 12 or Dewars White lable.

 

I'm happy with the White Label, but nice to have the offer of either with no uplift!
