Fog123 Posted May 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2014 This isn't necessarily a cruise ritual, but a trip ritual and I had forgotten about it until a friend reminded me since she's doing it for a trip to Paris in a month. For our anniversary trip to the Cayman Islands about a month or two out I started setting things aside for the trip, one item per day. It added to the level of excitement for the trip and I spent happy moments throughout the day trying to figure out what I wanted to add to the suitcase dedicated to the trip. I've decided to start doing that now. It's a bit more challenging this time around since many of the clothes that I'll be wearing on the cruise are clothes that I'm currently wearing (compared to the bathing suits that I most definitely was not wearing in Canada in January). Here's my item for today. My Alaska bird guide. Tomorrow will be a European plug adaptor probably.
CobbClan Posted July 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2014 Today (19 days away) I am packing a selection of ziplocks, tying ribbons onto my luggage handles for easier identification, and using Goo Gone on my new water bottles to remove all the sticky labels. Laurie S. Posted July 28, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2014 This weekend I packed a lot of toiletries, plus vitamins, aspirin, etc. I'm also starting to go through my jewelry and see what to wear with all the new outfits I have for our upcoming cruise. We're 33 days out, but I have to go down to Mexico to get my scuba gear and fiancé beforehand, so I want to have almost everything ready before he's here. Southern Princess Posted August 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2014 I've been putting small items in a hanging shoe organizer. You know the ones with the clear pockets. Today I put in my water shoes and hair accessories. Blessings, Jenny
freanesi Posted August 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 25, 2014 I've still got a year to go and want to start packing already. Maybe I'll start doing one item per month to start!
