Fort Louis

A ship tour we are looking at stops in Marigot for an hour. We don't have a lot of interest in shopping. Would it be possible to walk to Fort Louis? Anyone have directions on how to get there? Thanks!

It is walkable from downtown Marigot to Ft. St. Louis but it is uphill. You won't really need directions as you can see the fort sitting up on the hill. It is interesting to walk around the grounds and the views from the fort are beautiful.

I have never walked up to the fort from the bottom in Marigot but I would say 30 minutes up and 20 minutes down should do it. Its all stairs pretty much except for crossing the small road / driveway near the top. You might want to take a taxi to the last set of stairs nearest the top and then the walk is only 5 minutes to the top of the fort.
