How far is Sea World from the ship dock? Can u get a cab or would you have to rent a car? Trying to decide whether to do it on our own or just book with the ship? Thanks

You can certainly get a cab...it is probably about 5 miles or so from the dock (one way)..don't know what the ship is charging for the "excursion" but it might be more than doing it own your own...cab could be about $25-30 one way...LuAnn

Um, WHICH Sea World are you talking about??? The one in San Diego may be 5 miles from the dock, but if you mean the one in ORLANDO, it's a good HOUR from where the ships dock at Port Canaveral.

If you're talking about Orlando/Port Canaveral, then a cab would be FAR more expensive than just renting a car, BUT in the case of Orlando I would highly recommend that you do the excursion with the ship. The last thing you want is to get delayed and miss the ship. If the excursion is late, they'll wait - If you go on your own and are late, they won't!
