autrucheplume Posted May 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Good afternoon all! We are sailing on the Epic in February in a Haven 2 br suite. We have not sailed since NCL introduced the ability to make reservations online. This idea does not appeal to me at ALL - I have no clue what I'll want to eat 100 days before we go! We know which specialty restaurants we want to try, but I'd prefer to wait until we can see the MDR menus to pick the nights we want to skip them. People who have sailed in the Haven recently, did you have any trouble making dinner or show reservations onboard through the concierge?

TrumpyNor Posted May 25, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 25, 2014 I always make my dinner reservations through the concierge on board - I somehow imagine that doing it that way gets me a nicer table..... :p

People who have sailed in the Haven recently, did you have any trouble making dinner or show reservations onboard through the concierge? We made NO reservations prior to boarding when we sailed the Epic. Made all of our reservations through the Concierge in the Haven and all requests for dinners and shows were arranged. I think one night they asked if we could go 15 minutes later than we had requested for one of the dinners - which was NO issue at all! ;)
LrgPizza Posted May 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Passengers with or without a concierge can make reservations once on board. Only a percentage of seats are opened for pre-bookings.
Love my butler Posted May 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 25, 2014 The only restaurant with a small amount of reservations issue is Teppanyaki. All the others the concierge can almost always get you what you want once on the ship. You can also get Teppanyaki, but might have to take a day or time other than your first choice. autrucheplume Posted May 26, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted May 26, 2014 Great to know!! I was hoping that was the case. I LOVE NCL, and felt like "freestyle dining" was becoming "make all your plans really far in advance dining"... but it sounds like they just added that for the people who really want to plan in advance. Thank you everyone!!
