Another Beverage Card Question

We are receiving two $50 beverage cards as part of HAL's summer promotion. Do we receive these cards when we arrive on board, and if so, are we able to use the value of them towards the purchase of Signature Beverage Cards?

 

We had already planned on buying Signature Beverage Cards, so we won't be needing the $50 beverage cards as well. Our travel specialist said that if we don't use all of the $ on the $50 beverage cards, we lose the $ balance at the end of the cruise.

We were not able to use the $50 cards toward the purchase of the SBP cards on the Noordam. Fortunately we found a way to spend the $50 on things not covered by the SBP. (Ain't we resourceful? ;) )

 

I think we left a few dollars on the table so to speak, but it was minimal.

I've heard of people who were able to use their $50 card to offset other beverage charges, so it doesn't hurt to ask. If worse comes to worst, it's very sporting of you to have some port "for the team."

You can use the regular Beverage Cards to buy bottles of wine, bottles of water, etc.
