christinalvt Posted May 31, 2014 #26 Share Posted May 31, 2014 FYI: Bring cash to Bermuda or get money out at the Casino on board. Many places do not take cards(including the two places at dockyard which sell the transit passes) and ATMs are somewhat difficult to locate and dispense Bermudan dollars. Are there any ATMs at the Dockyard? I would like to get some Bermudan money to spend on the island, and for the bus/ferry passes. Thanks! meatball_nyc Posted May 31, 2014 #27 Share Posted May 31, 2014 According to this map of the dockyard that I found on the Bermuda board there is an ATM in the center of the map. I hope it comes in clear enough. Going to give it a shot. ~Robin Norwegian Breakaway July 2014 Carnival Miracle 2010 Carnival Legend 2006

Rare mking8288 Posted May 31, 2014 #29 Share Posted May 31, 2014 (edited) $1 USD = $1 BDA and almost all shops & stores will accept US currency (and, of course, credit cards) and often tried to give any changes back to you in USD, if they have it. Otherwise, you will get BDA currency/coins - so, it's wise to have dollar bills on hand. USD are 100% accepted at the VC when buying the bus/ferry passes. Inside Clocktower Mall @ Dockyard, there is ATM terminal (and, yes - that map is showing a 2nd. ATM closer to the ship) - it's about 10 minutes walk from the pier and used to have an internet cafe (inexpensive WiFi w. terminals). ATM's are widely available in downtown Hamilton, HSBC branches everywhere & right on the waterfront, steps away outside the ferry pier. But, you might want to alert your own bank of your travel plans, just in case, so that your transactions or withdraws won't be flagged or blocked.
