Interior room question?

How did you find out the cabin was booked by someone that did not require it?

Obviously the answer is that she couldn't, but I am not sure it is fair to take that comment literally. Until recent years, Celebrity did not require proof of need. There really is no reasonable doubt that people were booking them for the extra space - if not why would Celebrity start mandating proof. How many and on what cruise? No one can really tell. But heck, on these boards, people would brag about it (and shame on them). Having traveled with relatives with disabilities, I can certainly understand her frustration. Being disabled is frustrating enough - I just say let's all be considerate people and don't take that which does not rightly belong to us.

Thank you for all your replies, great site with alot of information for first timers.

We are seriously considering changing our booking to an oceanview room to take advantage of the 123 promo. I'm looking for any suggestions and/or comments on the oceanview rooms on deck 3 of the Eclipse. Concerns we have would be noise from the casino on the deck above and noise from the theatre on the same deck.

Or.... maybe we are still better off with the interior room we have booked on deck 8?

In walking by, I have peeked into those OV rooms on Deck three and they look really nice. I wouldn't hesitate to book one. Better than the ones in front, much closer access to everything. Very convenient location, get as close to midship as possible

I think it depends which one. If you look at the "sticky" thread on S-Class cabin information at the top of the Celebrity forum listing there is a link to a spreadsheet in the first post. Some of the cabins are reviewed as quiet and some not. You can look for cabins in that area on any ship as the deck plan in that area is the same on all the S class ships. You can also do a search on that thread, or in the Celebrity forum in general, for a specific cabin number and find other Cruise Critic posts about a cabin. I've found that searching for a cabin number works pretty well.
