Lovefuninthesun Posted July 1, 2014 #27 Share Posted July 1, 2014 I love a good Cosmo. But every time I have ordered the Carnival Cosmo, I have been blown away by how crazy strong they make it! Whew! Definitely get my money's worth! Sent from my iPhone 5 using Cruise Critic App

SunshineOnTheBrain Posted July 1, 2014 #29 Share Posted July 1, 2014 Another vote for the Long Island Ice Tea.... Strong drink...PLUS it is a classic cocktail so if you ask for your receipt you get a 5.00 match play coupon at the casino cage.. .so if you play any table games in the casino, take the receipt for the drink to the cage and get the coupon and put your money PLUS the 5.00 match play down and its like free money to use in the casino... so the 9.00 drink is actually on 4 bucks... Thats how my math works anyway..:D ditto

sinatra Posted July 2, 2014 #36 Share Posted July 2, 2014 I know this is a little OT but the best, most kick*ss drink I have ever had was last week at Margaritaville in Grand Turk. It was at the bar by the pool, not the one in the pool. It was a Miami Vice, half pina colada half strawberry daiquiri with blue curacao and rum drizzled over the top. Not bragging but I am a 210 pound man that can drink some booze. These things cost $11.00 for 12 oz and all I can say is wow. If you go to Grand Turk give it a try. When we got back to the ship my wife plainly told me you are never to drink rum again :>) Thanks! We'll be there next month and I can't wait to try this! grooveynurse Posted July 2, 2014 #38 Share Posted July 2, 2014 The most bang for the buck, in my opinion is the Blue Long Island (at Redfrog Rum bar)...the casino bartender made it for me when I asked. Definitely packs a punch. I also enjoy the Twilight Zone (frozen blue/green drink) but not much "punch" to it. You should DEFINATELY try some of the Martinis at the Alchemy bar...they are all unique and delish. I was hesitant to try the Spicy Chipolte one but it was a favorite, as was the one infused with lavender. SO good :) They do the martini tasting twice during a week and it's like $18 for 4 mini martinis...well worth it!
17andacruiseaddict Posted July 2, 2014 #39 Share Posted July 2, 2014 Long Islands and Tokyo Teas. A Tokyo Tea is something I've only ever gotten on Carnival. They introduced me to it and everyone else everywhere I go seems confused be it. It has a lot of alcohols like the Long Island The big difference is I think Midori. Turns the whole drink green. Anytime I get it on the ship, people are always asking what it is. Pretty tasty and very strong. Slightly stronger than a Long Island.

babsee101 Posted July 2, 2014 #41 Share Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) The Fun Ship has the same affect on me as the Long Island...let's just say I get pretty happy with either of those :). I always start out my cruise with a Fun Ship Special! I second the Fun Ship Special! My favorite drink on the ship by far! Has quite a kick, tastes better than a Long Island Iced Tea IMO and very tropical! YUM! Edited July 2, 2014 by babsee101

Has quite a kick, tastes better than a Long Island Iced Tea IMO and very tropical! YUM! I'll "third" the FunShip Special...Before I started cruising..was not a big fan of rum....Now, after plucking my first FSS off the tray of one of the servers wandering around the Lido deck on our first cruise..I'm a rum convert... FSS can be "underrated" for its "kick" value.. I usually start each cruise with 1-2 of the pre-made ones..last cruise however weather was kinda crappy during embarkation day..so we were not roaming outside as much..sat down at the atrium bar..ordered up a FSS..bartender made it from scratch...whoa!!! Had several more during that cruise..a few of the pre-mades...but a bunch more from the atrium bar...whoa!!

CruiseCrazyCouple0611 Posted July 2, 2014 #50 Share Posted July 2, 2014 I have to say, I have never tried martinis before, but I am going to have to try that tiramisu martini on my cruise in September. I can't wait to get my hands on the Long Island iced tea!
