Been There,Done That; What Next?

Planning 3rd trip to Belize. !st time snorkel...fun. Second time cave tubing, had fun. What next? Would like a beach day but don't want everybody on a small islet, and maybe a little shopping. Anything else. All options considered.

Take the ferry to Caye caulker and just enjoy exploring the place.

 

Or, you could do a ruins tour if interested in Mayan ruins.

 

We loved Belize both times we went. Want to do a land vacation there now.

We really enjoyed carnival's land rover and cave tour. There was also a fast river boat ride on the Wallace, lunch, and a jungle bus. Good variety of activity!

How about visiting the Mayan ruins at Lamanai? We went on a fantastic ship sponsored tour that included lunch. Check out the pictures my wife took and made into a slideshow for her website. It may help you decide.

This will be our 4th (? I think) time in Belize and I have been looking for new things to do as well this time around.

 

I have come up with doing the Caye Caulker and swimming with the sharks. :eek: THAT should be different. :D

We plan doing the Snorkel @ Shark Alley & Hol Chan Marine Park! excursion next time, sounds super cool!

I highly recommend the Lamanai excursion. It's a long day, but the ruins with the masks are amazing. I also loved seeing and hearing the howler monkeys in the wild.

We took a cab to the airport, jumped on a puddle jumper to Ambergris Caye, rented a golf cart and hung out on the island for the day. We ate lunch at Victoria House while scouting out resort options for a future trip. Then we hung out downtown at different spots. Totally spur of the moment decision that ended up being a great memory.
