SA71 Posted July 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2014 I am travelling with a sushi addict, and being from the the west coast of Canada we are serious about our sushi. Can someone tell me if it is available onboard, for both lunch and dinner at the buffet, and the quality? Thanks.
WestLakeGirl Posted July 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2014 It is available at late afternoon and into the evening. We aren't sushi fans but have been told by some that it isn't very good, by others that if you talk to the guy making it, you can get what you want and "have it your way"
bachcruise Posted July 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2014 I found the quality to be good but the choices are fairly limited. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
koolforkatz Posted July 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2014 They serve it at about 5.00 or 5.30 for about an hour or two??? I am also from Vancouver where we are spoiled for sushi. If you go in with lowered expectations it is "ok." I'll usually have a few pieces, though. Sent from my iPad using Forums
koolforkatz Posted July 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 5, 2014 Oh, and as far as selection, it was more veg and egg type sushi than fish. That was on the Century in June. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare ghstudio Posted July 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 5, 2014 It really varies by ship and cruise. We've he some cruises with a good variety of fish and freshly made rolls...and others with the opposite. The quality of ingredients is pretty good. Unfortunately, the one constant seems to be badly cooked, unseasoned rice..but I eat the fish, leave the rice...except for rolls of course. I generally get a sushi snack before dinner at least twice a cruise. Sent from my iPad using Forums
