ghezzy Posted July 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2014 Hey all, this is my first time on a carnival cruise (can't wait!) and I saw under manage my cruise they offer 4pack of beer for $22 how does that work, do I just go to a bar and present something or are they delivered to my room or does the bartender check my card to see how many I have left? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Cruise-Crazy Posted July 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2014 You get a bucket with four beers in it :D
KenMo Posted July 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2014 If you buy them from the Fun Shops online, they are delivered to your cabin and will be waiting for you when you board. Unless you're sailing from Texas, then alcohol is delivered the next day (or so I've read). I don't know if they're iced down or not. I'd like to know. Otherwise, you can just buy a bucket of beer from one of the bars. You'll get those in a bucket of ice.

The order should be waiting for you in your cabin on boarding day except as noted above for Texas sailings apparently.

You'll have 4 beers and a bucket. You'll have to ask for it to be iced. However, I took my champagne to a bar and asked for a bucket and the bartender swapped my hot bottle for a cold one and put it in an iced bucket. ;) Fist-pumping gleeful rum runner!!! kona_wahine Posted July 6, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 6, 2014 Ours were warm wrapped in plastic. The fridge isn't very cold so that didn't work out very well. You are better off to just get a bucket of cold ones from the bar.
Kcarp Posted July 6, 2014 #8 Share Posted July 6, 2014 Take the hot beer from your cabin and bring it to the nearest bar and they will swap it for cold ones.
TwizzlersAddict Posted July 6, 2014 #9 Share Posted July 6, 2014 Take the hot beer from your cabin and bring it to the nearest bar and they will swap it for cold ones. I'm curious, what is the price difference in pre ordering and just getting it from the bar.
Kcarp Posted July 6, 2014 #10 Share Posted July 6, 2014 (edited) I'm curious, what is the price difference in pre ordering and just getting it from the bar. I think it's a couple dollars cheaper. Edited July 6, 2014 by Kcarp
Purvis1231 Posted July 6, 2014 #11 Share Posted July 6, 2014 On our last cruise the beer was cheaper on the ship. The online orders are primarily for people who want to give a gift to someone cruising so prices are a little higher.
