pxy cda Posted February 11, 2015 #26 Share Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) Wow, crazy expensive. I will wait till I get home for fresh sushi... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Agreed - I have great sushi @ my office and @home - have it for lunch at least 1x per week. I am also suspect of freshness of fish onboard - even in MDR. With fish in general, I like to see it come out of the water live minutes before I cook it. :-) Edited February 11, 2015 by pxy cda
Rare Rogueperson Posted February 12, 2015 #27 Share Posted February 12, 2015 I tried Izumis on the Grandeur last month. I liked it but I didn't love it. It reminded me of a casual sushi restaurant on land. The quality was good but not great. The price if you consider that you are paying a premium above the cruise price makes this place not stand out. I have to compare Giovanni's and chops where paying a premium means getting food above and beyond the MDR. Izumis didn't go above and beyond in my opinion. It was on par, but I was paying a premium for it.
