I didn't think they were stopping in Cartegna any longer, but it seems that on some of the Panama Canal cruises they are

We've been there about 4-5 times, and the last few times have stayed on board. The hawkers drove me crazy. :eek:

HAL, thankfully, isn't stopping there as much as they used to. It looks as though only a couple of the repositioning cruises stop there now.

We have been there several times. The first few times we did tours. The last couple of times we just took the port shuttle over to the one store that is left in the freight area for cruise passengers.

we have been through the pannama many times and stopped only once.Visited a shopping precinct, and police told us we should leave very much unsafe. We are wondering where they will stop to replace this port if they replacei? Happy sailing and many thanks

They may not stop anywhere. They may just make it a sea day. I don't know why they want to go back to this port - it is so unsafe, like Caracas.

Cartagena was a stop on January 17th during the Prinsendam world cruise. Remember? That's where Grumpy got Slinkie those dazzling emeralds!
