Question for those that have booked Casino offer

Recently, I started receiving Casino offers. I have not yet booked, but had a question.

If you book a Casino offer, do you automatically get the Drink Card?

I currently see two options: Casino Offer and Premier Cruise Casino Offer. However, neither mention anything about the Drink Card.

What has been your experience?

Thank you!

The Premier Cruise offer does give you and your cabinmate a free drink card, along with some other perks when you board. (welcome party, gift, tournament, goodies in cabin, etc.) The casino offer does not give you the free drink card, unless you earned a minimum of 5,000 pts on your last cruise. It gives you a % off the price, and perhaps some cash at the casino. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info.

I have reached 5,000 points on my last 3 cruises and as a result received the drink card at that point.

That's what (I imagine) got me on the Casino list for special offers

I just wasn't sure if I booked one of the Casino offers, I would be entitled to the Card automatically.

I would contact the Player's Club before your cruise, (book through them and save a step) and just get an e-mail confirmation to bring with you saying you will get the drink card under the Casino offer. BTW - you should have gotten the drink card at 1,500 pts - not 5,000! (probably just mis-read your post)

The number of points needed to get the drink card depends on the length of the cruise. And you don't have to be traveling under a casino offer to earn/qualify for the drink card. Anyone can earn it by earning the required points. I think the 1500 points applies to a 7 day cruise. And it is my understanding that it does not carry over from cruise to cruise. Normally you have to earn it on each cruise.

The premier cruises though have always included the drink card from day 1 of your cruise for you and your cabin mate, along with other perks. When I booked a premier cruise, the casino mailed me a packet of information prior to the cruise to explain the perks.

A regular casino offer (non-premier) is usually for a cruise discount or free cabin and a certain amount of casino cash. You can only find out how much casino cash you qualify for by calling and asking unless you receive a printed offer in snail mail.

We've had the drink card waiting for us at embarkation since forever, regardless of what rate was used. Since you've been consistently reaching 5,000 points you will automatically get the drink card from the get go, but it never hurts to call the players' club ahead of your cruise to confirm. That's also a good idea in order to get casino cash....even if you don't book at the casino rate.

Let me ask a question regarding this and I do not mean to hijack the thread but my upcoming cruise is free based on my activity in the casino I am sure. I had over 6000 points last cruise. I did not get a drink card because I was on the cheers program, however I did get a dinner for two at the Steakhouse. My question is do you think since I gained over 6000 points last time, that I might get a drink card this time(considering I do not do the cheers program)? TIA

Yes, assuming that they don't make any changes to their M.O. If you accumulate 5,000 points in your prior cruise, you will qualify for Drinks on Us from the onset. As I mentioned previously, call the Players' Club ahead of your cruise to confirm. DH and I are in the running to have the next ship named after us, lol, so I don't assume that the same treatment that we receive is a guarantee, but it's been working that way since the inception of the free drink cards....which is prior to us receiving the "family treatment".

I would definitely get an email confirmation stating you get a drink card. I had an unpleasant surprise on my last cruise. I called and was told I had a drink card coming. When I got on board no drink card. I finally qualified on day four.

From now on I will definitely get an email to bring with me.

Stupid question - how do you know how many points you accumulate? We do not play slots we play table.

I *think* that you have to make nice with the Casino Host to get rated, but I'm not sure. I've heard that minimum bets are required, but again, no personal experience. Sorry. It may be too late to qualify for an upcoming cruise, but definitely introduce yourself when onboard.

Anything regarding the casino...bring it in writing! I've had to pull out copies of my emails from the casino department on several occasions. I've had to wait while they verify but I've never NOT received what was promised. I just had to work for it LOL.

yay!!! I just got an email confirmation that I pre-qualify for the "on us drink card"...Since I accumulated over 5000 points. Now to figure out my strategy-I didnt want to spend that much time in the casino gathering points. Do you actually have to be sitting gambling to get a free drink?

Usually.. I have found adding $1 tip, the servers will find me even just walking around the casino

You are right! We had the best servers last time but I had the cheers program-still tipped a $1 on each drink. My DH was best buddies with the crew at the end. The casino/bar where everyone knows your name might now be such a good thing?

Would you mind sharing the address you sent your email to? I'd like to see if I qualify as well.

Thanks!

Hey,

so at the end of my last cruise i got a free cruise offer. It was good only if booked within the next 14 days...where do people see they get casino offers on a regular basis? where should i be looking?

I had 2000+ points on the first night of my 8 day cruise and kept that pace up for the majority of the nights...I am a table player though not a slot player.

let meek now

How can you know how many points you earned at the table. I spent at least 3 hours per day and lost at total of $600 per cruise at the craps table on each of my last 2 cruises. I can't even seem to get them to bring me a diet coke while I'm playing and I had a bottomless bubbles card! So my chances of getting a drink card are nil I guess??? If you have to play $2000 per day in the Casino in order to get a free drink I don't think it will be happening for me.

I know because i was talking to the pit boss and was offered the card on night one. I asked what it took and he told me what I had done. I kept up that same level of play every night so thats how i know roughly how many points i had.

I always purchase Cheers and I also get the On Us card either at the beginning or after earning my 1500 points.

Just make sure that when you are ordering comped drinks in the casino that the barwaiter knows to ring it up under Players Club and NOT Cheers. That way the comped drinks won't count against your 15 limit on Cheers.
