Best and Worst Rooms on Ms. Liberty

We stayed in 7434 and it was a 8B but its an "L" shaped with a longer balcony. No couch in the room but we loved the layout. The bed faces the balcony door and there is a lounger on the balcony along with the standard 2 chairs and a table. I loved that room and wouldn't hesitate to book it again. Again, as long as you won't miss the couch.

Have sailed Liberty twice and booked again in November. My favorite area is near the aft elevators. Go up and you're at the buffet and aft pool area. Go down and your at the aft MDR. Get off at deck 5 and you're at the Alchemy Bar/piano bar/comedy club area from which you walk down to the casino & showroom. DECK 5 being one of the few decks that go all the way through in the public areas.

Just watch out for cabins right over the disco...anything aft of that is fine.

For my next cruise I had actually chosen 6412 but later upgraded due to a price drop.

Love the Liberty :)

We are looking at March 2015 and need connecting balcony rooms. This ship is filling up quickly, so the only good options seem to be 8427/8429 or 7427/7431 which are both aft. Does anyone have an opinion about these choices? Would you do aft just to get the connecting rooms or go forward and settle for side by side rooms? Thanks in advance

I would take the Deck 7 rooms. Those have staterooms both above & below you. Those deck 8 rooms will have a public area above it. If this is for Liberty, the grill is above those rooms, which are serving up food late into the night. Might be okay, but there would be some traffic above it. I'd rather have deck 7.

Deck 7 is usually the best deck because all cabins on this floor have rooms directly above and below. We never stay in a cabin that has a public venue above or below. Of course you could have noisy folks on either side, but that could happen anywhere.

On my October 26 cruise on the Conquest I am staying on Deck 7 mid-ship for the reasons mentioned above personally I think this location is the best on the ship. Deck 8 below the lido deck IMO is the worst.

We love our Lido deck balcony cabins. EXCEPT on Liberty. We booked 9276. There was a huge air intake vent over our heads. It sounded like a jet engine 24/7. We couldn't enjoy the balcony because of the noise. I implore everyone to stay away from 9276 through 9294 and 9275 through 9293.

See the red vent? Our cabin was directly below that.

We were in 9274 in October and did not hear any noise at all. We enjoyed our balcony every day and thought it was perfect. Maybe it did not run when we were out there. Usually though we were out there every morning and every evening.

Crap. Looks like my balcony is going to be right next to it. I'm in 1067 on the starboard side and I assume that offending vent is on both sides of the ship.

I was in 1063 on Liberty last year. The only noise we heard was from the Lido Deck parties and that was only when we were on the balcony and it wasn't bad at all. I loved that location. You're only 2 rooms away.
