Parking....what do you do?

We will be boarding the Oasis and this will be our first time sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale. We have always sailed out of Port Canaveral since it is so close to home. We are driving down from Orlando most likely the day before.

 

We are undecided about parking. Do we get a hotel that includes port transfer and parking or would it be easier and/or less expensive to park ourselves? Also, is it better to park at the port or at an off-site place (if so, any recommendations?). Thank you!

We had great service from Park & Go......they were very prompt in both getting on and returning from the ship. They are located right outside the gate of the port.

 

Book online for the best price which will be about 1/2 what the port charges.

 

We will definitely use them again!!!

If you are driving down the day before and need a hotel anyways, I'd book a park and stay room. There are lots of recs here.

We live locally and use port parking if we can't get a ride or if the cruise is short. It's $15/day. If you are driving down and cruising for more than a few days, look for a hotel with free parking. http://www.parkingstay.com/p/ft-lauderdale.html
