Need Suggestions Getaway

I am new here (duh you can tell that by seeing this is my first post), and I am a bit overwhelmed to say the least. This place is huge and kind of confusing to someone new. Anyway what I am looking for is feedback about the Getaway. My family is going on the getaway soon. I'd kind of like to hear about what maybe your top 2 or 3 things not to miss are whether it is on the ship or at one of the ports. We are wide open to about any of the activities or excursions. Also if there are any things you think are better off being passed by that will help a lot too.

 

We know that people might say a lot of different things as suggestions and some may have something on the don't miss list that someone else might have on the don't do it list. That is OK because the more input we get the better.

 

Thank you so much for helping us. We are excited about our cruise and can hardly wait until it gets here.

When are you sailing and how old are your kidlettes?

 

Start by reading some of the reviews in THIS section of cruise critic as opposed to the shorter reviews in the " member review " section.

 

Are you staying in a regular cabin or in a suite? That may change the review to concentrate on.

 

mitsugirly has a very in- depth one, and there are plenty others from the past several months.

 

We are sailing on Saturday with our 3 teens 15,15 and 13. Looking very forward to it.

Hello! We just sailed the Getaway this past April, just the hubby and I..AAAnd we are cruising on her again with the kids March 2015! We loved it that much. I would say, now this is my opinion and you know what they say about opinions..

 

If you're a drinker, try to get a drink card from the casino-free drinks!

Enjoy your balcony! I am not a small person and I thought there was plenty of room on it for my husband and I.

Don't miss when Burn The Floor performs at The Tropicana

The Illusionarium--is ok..food is ok, magicians are ok. We paid for the premium table and sat right next to the stage-which wasn't good because we could see everything and had all the tricks figured out.

 

DO NOT MISS MEAGAN'S BAY AT ST.THOMAS!! Absolutely beautiful! We actually booked the beach and shopping excursion on this one--I am a shopper, but I could have done without it and spent more time at meagan's bay!

An overlooked nice place to get food is the Flamingo Bar and Grill on the deck just above the buffet, I believe deck 16. Seldom any crowd. If you drink, the Mojito bar on deck 8 has tasty cucumber and jalapeno mojitos.

Thank you. I did start trying to use the search thing here. It can be helpful but with as much stuff is here it gets a lot of that that doesn't help very much shall I say. I do see that there are a handful of things you do not mention on here unless you want to start a major internet war. :D
