What did you pay for your cruise?

A good price! I think. Who knows.

$2801 for three of us in a grand suite on the 8/23 Fantasy sailing (7 day)

$1778 for three of us in an OV on the 8/18 Fantasy sailing (5 day)

Those numbers include all taxes and port charges and reflect a "third passenger sails free" promo for the 7 day sailing, along with ES and some super low deposit, I think $50 each.

I have no idea if it's actually a good price but it's a heck of a lot cheaper than the Splendor sailing we were going to go on.

Whatever you do DO NOT get sucked into the kids sail free program! As first time cruisers, my husband and I paid significantly more than everyone else we spoke to. $3200 for a five day Bahamas cruise. Balcony cabin. Unfortunately, Carnival didn't even try to make things right. Very disappointed.

Sailing on the Breeze 9/27/2014 - a few weeks. Just booked this week for a VIFP rate of 0- zero for an inside midship on Deck 8- for two of us. We do have to pay for Port charges of $110 each. We initially had chosen a Balcony for $350 each plus port charges, but we would rather spend the extra money at the spa on this cruise.

The best deal ever. Stay loyal to one cruise line or just cruise often.

Unfortunately you really have to do your research to get a good deal. A bit of luck on the timing of booking really helps too.

For our 8-day cruise next month we paid $780 for both of us, including taxes and fees. That was for an interior guarantee which has been assigned as a deck 7, Empress room, mid ship. We are super pleased. We like interiors because my husband prefers the darkness and extra quiet. And I am just happy to pay less than $1000 for an 8-day vacation. If the price hadn't been so good we would not have been able to cruise this year.

Hi,

I booked back in Jan (2014). We are doing B2B, 7 days Mexican Riviera (29 Nov) and the 15 Days Hawaii (6 Dec). We are a family of 2 Adults + 2 Children (7 & 2 yrs).

Mexican - E Deck Balcony - $2069 inc taxes but not Grats

Hawaii - E Deck Balcony - $5774 inc taxes but no grats,

Same back through out so we dont have to change.

A couple of weeks ago I saved about $180 due a price drop on our mexican portion. But I am glad I booked the Hawaiian one when I did as the same category is now $7408.

I am very happy with what I am paying.

Conquest next month 9/14 (7 night Eastern Caribbean) for my family of 5 -originally booked ES last year - connecting oceanview rooms were $579pp and 3rd person was $209

Now

Room 1 (2 people): $339pp - with port charges ($130.74!!!) total of $939.48

Room 2 (3 people): $289pp - 3rd person $179 -- total of $1149.22 with port charges

Total Cost: $2088.70 for 5 people and 2 ocean view cabins

The price per person is less than what I paid for a 5 night on the Fascination 2 years ago on the same date for same type of room.

7 day Caribbean cruise (October) out of Baltimore - French door room - including taxes and port charges - 521 pp. - 1042 total and 100 OBC. Not bad at all in our opinion.

14 day Southern Caribbean Repo from Tamp (March 2015) - Baltimore - French door room - with taxes, port charges and gratuities - 1250 pp - 2500 total. Very happy with this price - booked before it was even available online. Price increased by more than 60% within two months. :D

WOW!

How did you find out about the $0 VIFP rate? Did they contact you or did you just contact them to book? Thanks!

We sail on the Carnival Breeze in a week. Got a Cove Balcony and went all out on buying the extra little things Carnival offers online! With all the excursions (we are going on 3, one at each port) this little trip cost us well over $3500. That's not including the AMTRAK roomette & NOLA hotel, before and after we cruise! This is for our 5th Anny and since we did't have a wedding (got an officiant) nor a real honeymoon, this trip is worth it.

Approx £2200 ($3300) for 2 of us in a 4k for a 13 day Panama Canal.

Which isnt too bad considering we paid £1600 ($2400) for 12 days round the Baltics in the same room (sameship) and it costs £80 ($120) per cruise passenger down the Canal for Carnival.

Flights, inoculations, malaria pills and clothes shopping were the real expense.
