Liberty - What else is open for lunch 1st day?

Hi - Are there any alternatives to the buffet/Lido options on embarkation day on Liberty? I like getting away from the crowd if I can... :)

come to the ship later in the afternoon and have lunch somewhere on shore. All of the dining rooms are closed for lunch on embarkation day

Go up to the Fish N Chips! It's usually never crowded the first day because many people either can't find it or don't know about it.

Or get something from lido and bring it to an uncrowded area

I know people that come in early to Miami rent a car go and do fun things and get a cab and board around 2pm. 1 time the left their luggage at the pier at 10am and it was waiting for them when checked in.

Guy's, Blue Iguana Cantina, and deli are good choices. You can walk upstairs to the Fish & Chip place to eat away from the crowds :) Enjoy the Liberty!

Fish n chips is a nice option if you don't like the crowds as I recall it was NEVER crowded!! Great place to sit anytime!!! All of the lido venues were open but that was pretty much it.

The fish n chips upstairs from lido is the least crowded anywhere for lunch on embarkation day. Guys burgers and the Cantina for burritos are normally not that crowded either and there are tables not far away outside, but covered.

 

People usually haven't discovered the alternate lunch places on the first day. The only exception is the Mongolian Wok. Lines are always long and move slow. But lines on 1st day are normally less than others.

I will definitely hit Guys as well, but probably not on the first day since the buffet tends to be better on that day.

I like fish, but not what's served at the Fish and Chips station. Too greasy. A lot like what you'd get at Long John Silvers. :eek: Give the Blue Iguana Cantina a try. Their burritos are pretty good.
