4 Different Offers From CAS

In the past three weeks I have received 4 offers from CAS. Three are for the Caribbean and one for Alaska on the Jewel. This is the first offer for Alaska I ever received. I was wondering has anyone gotten an offer for their Mexico cruises, Since I live in Los Angeles there would be no travel. Two of the Caribbean are for different ships aon different days.

Call 1 877-PLAY NCL or email casinoinquiries@ncl.com (its the casino marketing department), give them your latitudes number and ask if they can offer you the mexico cruise and dates you prefer.

 

Even if they cant offer you a full comp they will give you a substantial percent off. I have never had any issues getting comps on rooms on any sailing I request.

 

That said this is how NCL Casino comps work for me, I am assuming its the same for everyone: Say you qualify for a free balcony, you get a free balcony on any ship/ any sailing irrespective of price. How if you wish to upgrade to a more expensive room then you'd pay the difference between the balcony and the more expensive room for that sailing.

Not necessarily the case. I was comped a balcony on a 4 night on the sky and an oceanview on a 7 night on the breakaway. I did recently receive another offer for a 7 night balcony on the breakaway. So I guess it all depends.

My latest CAS certificate from Caesars Windsor included a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. I was told by a CAS rep that my level of play on my April cruise was very high, but my offers still are not as good as some that I've read about here - always an inside, and I always upgrade to a balcony.

I have a certificate from Foxwoods that includes the Mexican Riviera, Alaska, the Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda and Europe in an inside cabin for 7 nights, but I don't think I'm going to use it because CAS said they can't change the cabin and when I book with CAS directly, I get a better room.

After my last cruise, I called to see what the rate would be for the Breakaway in October for 7 nights and I was shocked that they comped me a balcony cabin.

A couple of weeks ago I received a postcard for complimentary stateroom and $200 freeplay. There was a choice of 5 ships, mostly in Oct., Nov. and Dec., but I chose the Breakaway again because we can drive to the port they gave me a mini suite.

larryvel - I agree with rics321, you should call CAS and see what they offer you.

I would think the vast majority of CAS bookings are not directly from a mailout, but instead because folks called in.

 

I have found and a few others have mentioned, there are lots of variables.

 

* Your level of play onboard (they know what you tend to spend, vs at land casino where they may not know what you spend there, or on a ship

 

* Availability of cabins on each cruise - are sales going poor or good for that specific ship for that specific ship

 

* Cost of each level of cabin - the cost that CAS allocates is different than what you see online

 

* The mood of the CAS mgr that day - okay, just a big guess on that one

I think there's some truth to this... The first time I called, I was offered an Oceanview cabin. Waited a few days and called back and was offered a balcony.

Though the length itself might be a factor, the overall COST is probably a bigger one, and of course a long cruise will normally cost more.

 

On a recent call in, I was able to get a much higher category cabin on a longer cruise than for a shorter one. But, that longer one was a trans-atlantic and of course in that case, the cost was less.
