Our Pacific Coast cruise is a year away but we would still like to know the cost of the specialty restaurants and which one is preferred by folks on Cruise Critic.

We have eaten at both Portofino(Explorer) and Chops (Brilliance) and been pleased with both meals. As always, personal taste! We are sailing on Jewel in November and will have dinner at Chops!

Which shows Chops on Jewel at $30 p/p and Portofino at $20 p/p. So I don't know how accurate it is, I believe Chops is now $35 p/p on most ships.

 

I think Jewel is the last ship with Portofino...so if it is still $20 p/p...that would be a bargain! :D EDIT: so Explorer still has Portofino, too.

 

That is a good question, maybe someone that has recently sailed on Jewel can report the recent costs.

I was on Jewel in June. Chops is $30 p/p and Portofino's is $20 p/p. There was a discount offered if you booked 2 or more time 15% for 2 times, 20% for 3 times, 25% for 4, etc.

 

We ate at chops twice and it was amazing both nights.

Liberty and Freedom also still have Portofinos

 

Jewel is the last ship to have the Seaview cafe which is complimentary.
