Thank you.:) The canal cruises are pretty much the same from company to company. Purchase ticket when you board. hondorner Posted July 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2014 The big difference in canal cruises in Amstedam is the choice of an hour-long highlights cruise or a hop-on hop-off museum cruise. Most of the canal boat companies offer both. We pre-ordered the combination canal/Ann Frank deal and were pleased with the results. We considered the HOHO option but we're not generally musum people. The hour or so cruise was adequate. I don't think it matters which company you choose; we randomly chose the Love company and were pleased. The most important thing is to pre-order the Ann Frank tickets. They set an appointment time (with a leeway of 10 to 15 minutes either way). When we arrived, the ad hoc line was around the block. We walked up to the appointment door and were admitted immediately. The rest of the 3 days we walked the city. It's very walkable, but watch out for the bicycles!
