Uber from Miami Airport

What are we talking price wise for a Uber XL from FLL to Miami Downtown hotel. Our flight lands at 3:05pm so not rush hour but also not middle of the afternoon.

 

If not Uber what do you recommend for transport? Family of 4 with luggage

 

I have gotten a suv with UberX but there is no guarantee that you will get one if you just use UberX

Where does Uber pick up at Mia and how do you know it is your Uber Car? Also, can Uber drop you off at the Port now?

I know at FLL the pick up area is the Chauffeured area/drivers for hire.

 

The Uber cars have the Uber "U" on their windshield plus once a driver is in route the type of car is listed.

 

They can drop you off at the port.

This site allows you to enter your starting and destination points and shows you the fares for taxis, Uber, Lyft, and any other companies operating in the area.

 

UberX is about $38.00. In my experience this will hold four people with minimal luggage (backpacks or tote bags) or two people with a suitcase and a backpack or tote each. Any more than that you should probably request an XL which is $84 and at that point a taxi at $73 is a cheaper option.

Thanks! We are flying into Fort Lauderdale in January and arrive at 500 pm. I Think we will try Uber to take us to our Miami Hotel. We were able to get much cheaper airfare flying into Fort Lauderdale then into Miami.
