CRUISIN LINDA Posted July 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2014 They are hoping to start towing the Costa Concordia away tomorrow. It should have been today, but was postponed. http://www.giglionews.it/2010/02/24/webcam-giglio-porto-panoramica/

CRUISIN LINDA Posted July 22, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted July 22, 2014 I bet the people that live there will be happy its gone. Well, some will Kirk, but the hotels and bars have made a lot of money from the salvage people. A lot of people say they are going to miss them. WeeCountyMan Posted July 22, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2014 Linda is right, the wreck had become some kind of a tourist attraction (sadly) and attracted visitors who would normally never go there, in fact had probably never heard of the place (like me) until the tragic events last year. The salvage teams etc.also put a lot of cash into the local economy.

CRUISIN LINDA Posted July 23, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Yes HT, I looked at the webcam about 9.30 this morning and she was already a way out to sea. If you look at the slider under the webcam, you can see she left about 8am According to Marine traffic she has "restricted manoeuvrabillity" and is travelleing at 2 knotts. Should you want to see where she is now Linda (Or anyone else ) One of the main Tugs Pulling the Concordia is called Resolve Earl , with a few more escorting her . Here is the page for the Tug with its live track that you can click on, once on the page ..... RESOLVE EARL
CRUISIN LINDA Posted July 23, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Thanks kalos, I have found the ship on marine traffic, but it seems to be a bit behind in time (not much cop really - marine traffic ) I saw an article yesterday, naming all the boats that are escorting her, but can't find it now!
