Tracy Arm - Best Place for Photo Opt

Obviously nothing is guaranteed, and given the size of the princess ships and the # of people - any suggestions on the best place on the ship for photo opts when cruising tracy arm?

Get to the forward crew deck if possible. I'm not sure if they are open on all ships, but the one on the Regal was and we found it fairly empty, but plenty of great pictures came from there. Also, once the ships turns around and starts to head out most folks go back inside. We went to the aft and were able to get any shots we missed on the way in. Good luck!

The front of the ship. Sometimes the fore deck is opened during the sailing, find your way down there before you get there. :)

If it's raining the boat deck (Promenade) is covered. Otherwise the deck just above the bridge is a great spot. As we were leaving Tracy Arm on the Sapphire Princess we passed the Diamond Princess coming in. It was a chance to see our mirror image passing by and take pictures of people taking pictures of us.

We got some great pics on the top "track" right at the turnaround by the Glacier.. with the glacier north glacier in the background.. Also aft when the ship turns to go out. It is nice timing for the sister ships to pass near the entrance so everyone can get a picture of "their" ship in Tracy Arm:) There aer so many gorgeous waterfalls and glacial meadows that the entire morning is a photo op IMHO!

We were on the Diamond and spent the whole time at the bow of the ship on deck 8. To get there you had to go to seven and then outside and up some stairs. It was nice because it provided some protection from the weather and still was quite open and able to get great pictures. What a beautiful place and great experience it was.

We had a balcony on the Diamond Princess, Aloha deck, port side. We got amazing pictures from the balcony and anything we missed, we got on the way out!
