DUC950 Posted July 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2014 Any suggestions for hotel with on site restaurant near airport & cruise terminal. Cruising in February and flight lands in evening.
irishgal432 Posted July 26, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2014 We stayed at the Crown Plaza on state street. They have a free shuttle, but don't call until you are walking out the terminal, they may miss you as they dont park and sort of cruise on by. They have a decent, reasonable priced resturant on site and the port entrance is literally across the street. We got a taxi at 9:45 and were at the pier at 9:
BlueHerons Posted July 26, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2014 Any suggestions for hotel with on site restaurant near airport & cruise terminal.Cruising in February and flight lands in evening. Hotel restaurants are usually overpriced and mediocre. Stay at a hotel on 17th Street and you'll be within a 10-12 block radius of about 50 really good restaurants. 17th Street is near the port and airport. eandj Posted July 26, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2014 (edited) How late in the evening? Feb is high high hotel rates season. Cheaper will be closer to the airport. However, as BlueHerons mentioned, if you could stay in town on or near 17th St. ...(look at Hyatt Pl East just off 17th St.) you would surely have a ton of places to choose from and have a nice precruise spot for the evening. I'd look at valuetrips.com for the Hyatt PL. Or other discount sites for the other hotels. Rates WILL be high if on the weekend. The airport is only 15 min or so from the port area. snackcracker675 Posted July 26, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 26, 2014 I booked a room, shuttle to the port and parking package with the Cambria Suites in FLL. We loved the hotel, the shuttle to and from the port was easy and was included, and there's a good Cuban restaurant within walking distance. You have to cross a busy road, but it is possible. It was a yummy place to eat.
Isa65 Posted July 27, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 27, 2014 Here another vote for the Crowne Plaza. You can get this hotel for a low price on LMTClub.com and their in-house restaurant (Kiki's) is very good. Modern, clean, restaurant, across the street from the port entrance and they have a small shop where you can buy your last minute items (even wine and soda) before you leave for the ship. Rare cwtravel Posted July 27, 2014 #9 Share Posted July 27, 2014 Doubletree Gallery One has a restaurant although pricey. If you stay at this Doubletree there are some very good restaurants at the Galleria Mall (Seasons 52 & The Capital Grille) and there is also a decent food court in the mall. The mall is a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

However the OP specifically asked about hotels with a restaurant. Perhaps there is a mobility problem.
cruiseapril Posted July 27, 2014 #11 Share Posted July 27, 2014 We enjoy the restaurant at Embassy Suites (17th St). We had lunch at the pool and dinner in the Atrium and they also serve a good breakfast and have a Manager's Reception before dinner. As others have said, there are many restaurants in the area.
