NCL Studio input

Hi all,

I've looked at some of the current studio reviews, but a lot of them seem to be a couple years old or more. Has anyone done studios recently, say in the last year? I'm hoping/guessing NCL has learned some things over time with the studio experience? Just curious how many true solos there were, how much was going on in the studio lounge, etc... I'm thinking about booking Epic for the week of Thanksgiving b/c I like the itinerary better than Getaway. Just for informational purposes...I'm 34/m/single...just wondering how easy it is to find other solos to socialize with, have dinner with, go to shows, with, etc... Any input/comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

I was solo on the epic the week after thanksgiving last year. A lot of the ppl in the studios didn't come to the lounge for happy hour but we still had a sizable group for dinner. Maybe 25 ppl. After a few days the group I mostly hung out with stopped going to the lounge HH and just made our own dinner plan. Make sure to go to the lounge the first night. I had a great time with the other solos.

I found the same thing- although there are 128 studios, about 25 people roughly 20% participated. I also found the same ration on the Breakaway, of 59 studios perhaps a dozen people.

I would say by day 3-4 you can start to fade back on the lounge.

I am going on the Breakaway again in October. Keeping my studio this time likely, I did upgrade to a balcony but found I really didnt need the extra space.
