Do cell phone work/inside passage

Depending on your carrier (check on Alaska coverage generally before you go), may find yourself roaming, but most assuredly yes. The folks up there wouldn't do without them, and you'll be in sight of land almost 100% of the time. Used mine a couple of times, and always had signal when I turned it on.

 

You're probably aware that they don't work well in these tin cans, but be sure to get yourself topside on the east side.

 

I disagree. You will have coverage whenever near a town but towns are few and far between. Would guess from Vancouver to Skagway you might have coverage 10% of the time from a tower. From Port Hardy on Vancouver Island going north there is nothing until Ketchikan AK.

I hate when that happens!! At least this thread was only two pages! I really hate it when I read 4 or 5 or more pages without realizing how old the thread is!

 

I wish they would put the opening date on threads ...
